The Syracuse Hometown Heroes banner program is a partnership between Syracuse Parks Conservancy, the Dunbar American Legion Post 1642, and the City of Syracuse.  The partners are deeply grateful for the financial support from Syracuse Hometown Heroes sponsor, the Syracuse University Institute for Veterans and Military Families.

The cost of the banner is $160. They are hung and removed by the City of Syracuse on city-owned streetlights. In 2024, banners will be hung on James Street from near Downtown to Eastwood and in Kirk Park. Banners will be displayed each year beginning in the summer and continuing through Veterans Day for a three-year period.

There will be 300 banners posted in 2024. The first 300 orders will be accepted in the order they are received. Do not wait to submit your order.

The Syracuse Hometown Heroes partners thank the Daughters of the American Revolution, Oneida County Chapter, NSDAR, for its generous assistance in starting our program.
