The cost of the banner is $160. They are hung and removed by the City of Syracuse on city-owned streetlights. In 2026, banners sites will be available in all quadrants of the city. Banners will be displayed each year between Memorial Day and Veterans Day for a three-year period.

1. How do I submit my application?

Applications must be submitted online.

2. How long will the banner be displayed once I have paid for it?

Banners are displayed for three (3) years.

3. What happens to the banner after the three years are up?

At the end of the three-year period, banners are returned to the family or can be

rehung for another three years for an additional cost.

4. What is the cost of a banner?

The cost is $160, which includes the banner being displayed for three years.

5. Do I need to include the veteran’s rank on the banner?

Yes. The banner will include the rank, years of service, and branch of service.

6. How will I know where my banner is hung?

You will receive an email notification with the location of your banner once it has

been installed.
